145 - THE FILM

The original idea for making a film about the GUCR was inspired by a conversation with one of the 2007 runners Harvey inder.

As he told us about the distances and challenges involved in completing the race, we realised that the GUCR would be a facinating subject for a documentary film.

We shot several pre-race interviews with a varied selection of entrants - a few experienced GUCR runners and a few novices

For the 2008 GUCR we used three camera teams to capture as much of the event as possible. We were there for the very early start st Gas Street, Birmingham on the Saturday morining and somehow managed to make it to the finish on Sunday night. In between we covered most of the checkpoints from the pleasantlt scenic Birdingbury Bridge to the not quite so pleasant or scenic Southall!!

We are hoping to be able to release the film sometime in late summer/early autumn 2008

No runners were harmed during the making of this film!
